FIREWORK NIGHT OVER FOR ANOTHER YEAR

Firework night over for another year then, Utd supplied the fireworks and we the damp squibs,not a display to warm the hearts of the traveling fans who sang like a choir but not to the extent to lift our squibs.Like many
firework nights before the sound of explosions start a month before the big night and then bang its all over, but the sound of fireworks linger for sometime after, this will be no different, we met a resilient set of players on the night as normal Utd manager Ferguson had prepared his team well ,changed his line up to be ready to extinguish any stray rockets, it was a bitterly cold night and Alex's team came out prepared for the conditions with short sleeved shirts and not a scarf in sight although Rooney sported a nice pair of woolen gloves and very nice they looked to.

The whistle blew and the game started, many expecting fireworks from the beginning, but although both sets of players were cancelling each others sometimes bright displays, it was a little like a Katherine wheel  nailed to a post static,it has to be said that the game was not the spectacle that the Chilean miners had expected, all that time underground and by the end of the game they wanted to go back down again, i wont bore you with the details of who did what and to whom, even i cant go through that again but it has to be said that for Arsenal the ideas have run out, as of previous encounters we have important players out injured we also have reserves who are not of the same caliber,when we field half fit players against the top team in the league we know we are inadequate and do not deserve to be at the top.

You only have to look at the best team in the league to understand that we are not ready to compete for their deserved position, we do not posses the tactical awareness and the discipline that this hardened  northern team posses, i could at this stage compare players and try and find a strategy for our players but this would not explain why our Manager sent out  players who have admitted publicly that they are unfit and are unable to last 90 minutes,our substitutes recently back from long running injury problems were no match for  the Utd sparklers, we can only take away the knowledge of only conceding one goal, apart from that a banger it wasn't
