WOULD A MUNICH OR BERMUDA DISASTER HELP

With all the talk about sackings, and changing the way our great team does business ,has given me food for thought,i was discussing these thoughts with a friend of mine who is a Man Utd fan, he was off course full of beans, and full of ideas as to how our team could improve which in all honesty got up my nose, i can take comments from Arsenal people because i know deep down they only want the club to improve and win competitions but to have an outsider sort of rubbing your nose in it grates a bit, but he is a nice bloke so i listened ,you don't really want to fall out about something like that,Christ i would have let him have it ha ha

He was amazed that Wenger keeps buying as he called it budget buys when the club has healthy profits and was also bemused as to why he buys players from countries that lets face it he said not known for top footballers, why buy these when you have a healthy kitty and you could buy proven players especially defenders and forwards known for their ability, he went on and said Take West Ham they are a club that have produced an amazing amount of players quality players that grace positions of many clubs yet the club will probably go down this year, now that is bad planning, they cannot afford to keep these players so they have to sell them, just say for instance they had kept them, they may have been challenging for the top spot but their not, he said if your a big club like mine, you buy these player and don't give a hoot about West Ham or teams like them you grab them because you can afford them and they help you to trophies.

Well i thought about what he had said and thought the only way we could do something like that is if there had been a disaster similar to the Munich disaster which took out best part of the Man U team, and then start with a clean sheet, of course i wouldn't want anybody to lose their lives, so it would have to be a plane lost in the Bermuda triangle, lost for a couple of years maybe, the players must be insured and we of course would argue that they were worth a lot more than what they are, and then start buying quality,

How do you decide on new players, well that is the question but you wouldn't go far wrong by looking at the best players in the world in certain positions and that is your guideline if you cannot buy him you buy the next best, not any one club has all the best players, playing in the same team, so in all fairness if you had the second best player in your team in every position it would be a very formidable outfit. But getting back to reality, the next time i see my mate i shall tell him to keep his opinions to his self, i shall also tell him we are going to kick his arse next time and i will get my tenner back as its only lent, as always, i will follow Arsenal, knowing that there will be a lot of talk from every corner but nothing will change, and Arsenal will still keep muddling along, but i can only hope we have an away game somewhere near Bermuda.
